On February 12, 2024, our colleague and friend, Dr. Jacek Wrzesiński, who had been associated with the Atomic Nuclear Structure Department of the IFJ PAN for 50 years, passed away.
For the last year, Jacek had been struggling with a serious illness, and he spent his last moments surrounded by the loving care of his family.
Jacek was a documentarian of many editions of the Zakopane Nuclear Physics Conferences. Among the thousands of photos in which he immortalized the participants of these meetings during more or less official moments of the conference, his figure appeared in only a few photographs. Below are two of them captured on Tatra trails: from September 2008 and September 2022.
