Guido Altarelli Award for dr Rene Poncelet

It is our great pleasure to inform you that dr Rene Poncelet has been awarded the prestigious Guido Altarelli Award "for his outstanding contribution to precision calculations of the top quark and Higgs boson, which have profoundly influenced LHC analyses". The laureates were announced at the Deep-Inelastic Scattering Conference in Cape Town: Guido Altarelli Award 2025.

The Guido Altarelli Award, established in 2016, honors the memory of Guido Altarelli, one of the founding fathers of QCD, an outstanding communicator of particle physics, and a mentor and strong supporter of Junior Scientists. Prof. Altarelli is also the IFJ PAN Honorary Professor. Each year, the prize is awarded to one experimental and one theoretical particle physicist.

Congratulations Rene!
