National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR)

The main tasks of the National Centre for Research and Development include:

  • conducting and implementing strategic research and development programmes leading directly to the development of innovation,
  • supporting commercialisation and other forms of transfer of research results,
  • management of applied research programmes and implementation of national security and defence projects.

The Centre pays particular attention to the participation of young scientists in research programmes, which enables them to improve their business and intellectual property management skills and teaches the commercialisation of research results. Through its initiatives, it draws attention to the need to raise the awareness of research staff about the importance of industrial property protection for the commercialization of modern solutions and the possibility of international patent protection of scientific entities.
