With deep regret we inform that on 13 October 2016, passed away
professor of physics at the Institute of Nuclear Physics in Cracow, President of the Council for Atomic Energy Matters and Accredited Representative of the Polish Government at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, full member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and active member of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences, professor emeritus of the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, one of the most prominent figures of Polish physics.
